This is one of my reading grid activities called
Open Minded Portraits. In Open Minded Portraits you
choose a character from a book and draw it then you
staple it to three other sheets in the same shapes.
Once you've done that you can write what the character
is feeling or what problems they're having.

Fotobabble helped me to improve on my clarity
and fluency because if I didn't improve on them my Fotobabble wouldn't sound good.
I didn't have much trouble completing the task because I watched
other people doing their Fotobabbles.

Quiz Reflection

Over the past weeks we have been making online quizzes in groups about books we used for book week. Each person was responsible for 2 questions. Then we had to embed the quiz and the QR code onto each persons wiki page. We also had to compare 2 quiz websites to see which website was better for our quiz.

What did you enjoy most about this task?
I enjoyed this task because I got to work with other students and I learnt more about QR codes and how to embed things.
What was your biggest challenge?
Our biggest challenge was keeping our work saved because somtimes the quiz website didn't save our work and the other challenge was keeping our sheets organized.
Which skill did you find the most useful?
I found having a group made it easier because different people knew how to do different things, for example someone in my group knew how to embed things and some of us didn't really know how to.
List 2 ways this task could help you in your future learning?
-This will help me tell which websites are good and which websites are bad.
-This also helped me understand different question types (Main idea, plot, illustrations, values/ attitudes/ messages, inference, setting, fact)

This is our book cover we did for 'Ghostop'.
We did a cover so that little kids would like
it.

Hi Darcey,
It was a good idea to do a cover for young children - not too scary, but they might have to stand on their head to see it like I did.
